We love dim sum and every city we visit, we tend to try a few dimsum restaurants.
I think our favorite by far is Sun Sui Wah, in Vancouver, BC.
Well, of course, being from Singapore, there are many good dimsum restaurants as well.

outskirts like the Richmond district might have better restaurants, but if you are in downtown, here's two.

Portland and Seattle
We didn't have great dim sum experiences in downtown.
